China shoots down Australian spy planes with laser
The Australian Defense department suspected China of
shooting down one of its spy planes while in service with laser sometime this
week, declaring it as a "serious safety incident" that could
"endanger lives."
The Australian military forces alleged that one of its P-8A
Poseidon surveillance planes "detected a laser illuminating the aircraft
while in flight over Australia's northern approaches" as per an assertion
released on Saturday.
The assertion went on further to claim that, “the laser was
detected as emanating from a People’s Liberation Army – Navy (PLA-N) vessel,”
while giving the “illumination of the aircraft by the Chinese vessel” the label
of a “serious safety incident.”
