Christy Giles' Mom insists her daughter would never take heroin
Model Christy Giles’ mom insists that her daughter must have been drugged before she was dumped at an LA hospital — because she had serious self-defense training from her ex-solider dad and would have “fought like hell” if not incapacitated.
“My daughters have been taught literally how to kill a
person with a ballpoint pen,” said Dusty Giles. “My daughter is a military
police officer’s daughter, her father Leslie served in Iraq.”
The 24-year-old fashion plate was found dead after being
dumped at Southern California Hospital in Culver City Saturday after a night of
partying. Her friend, Hilda Marcela
Cabrales-Arzola, 26, was left at a separate hospital and is on life support
with no brain activity.
Giles’ husband Jan Cilliers has claimed to have seen video
of three masked men dressed in black pull up to the hospital, where they pushed
the 24-year-old model’s body out of a Toyota Prius without license plates.
Dusty Giles expects her daughter’s toxicology report will
reveal traces of heroin and fears the drug was forcefully injected before
Christy was brutalized.
“The only way that these men would have kept my daughter and
Hilda for over 10 hours would be by giving them drugs, maybe tying them up,”
she told The US Sun.
“I believe they drugged them to keep them and I believe they
probably raped them.”
She added: “My daughter would have fought like hell and from
my understanding from speaking to the emergency room doctor and nurse, they did
not see any visible bruises, scratches, or any indication of an altercation.”
Officials with the LA County Department of Medical
Examiner-Coroner said an autopsy will be conducted on Giles but there was no
additional information as of Thursday.
LAPD officials also declined to comment with the
investigation ongoing.
The Giles family is still awaiting the results of a
toxicology report and a rape kit test performed on Christy.
The grieving mother has ruled out any possibility of an
accidental heroin overdose because her daughter was painfully aware of how
devastating the drug could be.
“My daughter has never done heroin in her life,” she
continued.
“She has a cousin who did heroin once and got addicted.
“He’s been in and out of rehab twice. She’s very close to
him and she was upset that he did that.
“She’s had close friends OD out there and she told me ‘It’s
crazy mom, they lace this stuff with fentanyl and people do it once as a party
thing and then they’re dead.”
Dusty Giles said Christy had been open and honest about
dabbling in a raft illicit drugs, which is why she is so sure the model was
honest about avoiding heroin.
“Was my daughter an angel? No, my daughter did dabble in
what she said were party drugs,” she continued.
“She said ‘I’m not going to lie mom, I’ll do a line of coke
once in a while, I’ve done ketamine or I’ll do molly, and every once in a while
with friends I’ve tried mushrooms.’
“My daughter was extremely open and unapologetic about the
way that she lived her life.
“Even though we live in Alabama and we have a different
outlook on things, she had no reason to lie to her husband and her best friends
in California.”
Dusty Giles said an accidental overdose could not explain
why her daughter would be left for dead.
“If it was an accidental overdose, why not call 911?” she
said.
“Why do you wait 10 hours until she is dead to fling her on
a sidewalk, remove your license plates, obscure your face?”
