Huawei Invests US $ 60 Million in Angola Technology Center

Luanda - Huawei announced on Wednesday that it has invested US $ 60 million to build two technical training centers in Angola.

Chu Xiaoxin, the representative of Huawei in Angola, announced after an audience with Angola’s President Joao Lourenco.

Chu said the center, which can accommodate 2,000 young people, will help discover the talent of Angola’s telecommunications and information technology sector.

The project is part of a domestic digital economic development program, he said.

The meeting with the president aims to update him on the implementation of the project and the company’s contributions in the countries of southern Africa, Mr. Chu said.
