HUAWEI BECOMES CHINA’S LARGEST PRIVATELY-OWNED COMPANY
Recently, the well-known research and investment business organization Hurun published a ranking of the richest enterprises in China, called the 2021 Shuyun Hurun Top 100 Consumer Private Enterprises in China.
According to this ranking, Huawei is the leading
privately-owned commercial company, with a total market value of approximately
$170 billion. The second place is occupied by the leading supplier of smart
home appliances company Midea with a market value of $ 90 billion. The third
place with approximately the same market value is occupied by Haitian
International.
BYD (Build your Dreams) is in fourth place with a market
value of $75 billion, followed by electronics manufacturer Xiaomi with over $70
billion.
Weilai, Nongfu Spring, Gree, Great Wall and Anta Sports are
also among the top ten private enterprises in China, according to the source.
The top three enterprises, Huawei, Midea and Haitian
International, account for over 50% of the total market value.
In a seperate new, Huawei recently reported on the process
of distributing the EMUI 11 firmware; a corresponding message appeared on the
Weibo social network, supported by a teaser. It turned out that this firmware
is already installed on devices of 100 million users. And this is definitely a
success.
Recall that EMUI 11 debuted only in September last year; and
its release for different devices is divided into stages. Taking this into
account, the real-time for the distribution of the firmware is much less than
six months. Of course, Apple smartphones update faster, but this happens in
completely different conditions.
A few days ago, Huawei Technologies secured the right to use
the Huawei P60, P70, P80, P90, and P100 trademarks. This indicates that the
company is rather optimistic about the future; and is not going to ditch the
brand that it has built over the years so easily.
Recall that since last year, Huawei has not been able to
freely purchase SoCs and other components from American companies.
Manufacturers who want to do business with Huawei have to obtain a license; but
it does not allow shipping all the necessary components. As such, the upcoming
Huawei P50 lineup will use last year’s Kirin 9000 SoC.
It is expected that the Huawei P50 smartphone will be the
first device out of the box to run the new operating system Hongmeng OS, or
Harmony OS, as it is called outside of China. Also due to debut in this
smartphone is the Sony IMX800 image sensor; which will be the world’s first
mobile 1″ optical format sensor.
According to the latest reports, the presentation of Huawei
P50 has been postponed to May this year.
