Benjamin Keough reportedly dead in suicide

The son of Lisa Marie Presley and grandson of Elvis Presley, Benjamin Keough, died of an apparent suicide in California on Sunday, according to a report.

Keough, who was 27, appears to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Calabasas, law enforcement sources told TMZ.

The death of her son left Lisa Marie “completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated,” her manager, Roger Widynowski, told the gossip outlet.

“She adored that boy. He was the love of her life,” Widynowski said.

Keough, who bore a striking resemblance to his rock-legend grandfather, remained largely out of the spotlight throughout his life.

He followed in his mother and grandfather’s footsteps and pursued a career as a musician.

In 2009, Keough landed a $5 million deal with Universal Records to pump out five albums.

When he first inked the deal, Benjamin told London’s Telegraph newspaper he had no intention of channeling his famed grandfather’s rockabilly style.

“The music will be nothing like Elvis, nothing like him at all,” Ben Presley told London’s Telegraph newspaper.

Keough was the son of Lisa Marie and her first husband, musician Danny Keough.
