Venezuela captures two Colombian drug planes
The Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National
Armed Force (Ceofanb) of Venezuela captured two Colombian drug trafficking
aircrafts as part of actions developed to guarantee national sovereignty.
In a message in Twitter, Ceofanb said that the capture of
the planes was carried out thanks to the deployment of Operation Shield Shark
2020.
For its part, the Integral Aerospace Defense Command
reported that in five months of 2020 there have been 17 captures of drug
trafficking mafias and 196 since the DEA, the U.S. government anti-drug office,
was expelled from Venezuela.
On May 7, Ceofanb also captured an aircraft used for drug
trafficking in the south of Zulia state, as part of Operation Bolivarian Shield
Shark 2020, activated after the attempt to land mercenary troops off the coast
of La Guaira on May 3.
'The Bolivarian National Armed Force remains alert and
vigilant to any menace that threatens the security and sovereignty of the
country,' Ceofanb stressed on Twitter.
