Uzbekistan-born billionaire Chodiev's Foundation buys equipment for Virology Research Institute in Tashkent
International Chodiev Foundation (ICF) bought medical
equipment for the Health Ministry’s Virology Research Institute in Tashkent to
provide aid for coronavirus containment, reports Forbes.uz.
ICF sent medical equipment and personal protective items for
doctors in the Virology Research Institute. The humanitarian aid is part of
charity program of ICF and the Health Ministry for population protection during
the pandemic.
ICF and the Ministry of Justice organized previous programs
and provided elderly people and low-income families with food and disinfecting
items, sent humanitarian aid to the centre of coordination for aid to
low-income people in Tashkent and to people hit by floods in Syrdarya region.
Patokh Chodiev is Uzbekistan-born oligarch with Belgian
citizenship, businessman, co-owner of Eurasian Resources Group company. In 1996
he founded charity organization International Chodiev Foundation to promote
academic achievements, creative potential and innovations in Eurasia.
The Foundation runs scholarship and educational programs,
supports publishing of scientific literature, scientific researches, projects
of culture and art, international relations development, provides aid for
orphanages and hospitals for children in Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan,
Ukraine.
