Huawei makes Alternergy certified solar solutions distributor

UK clean energy provider Alternergy Ltd announced on Thursday that it now acts as a certified distributor for the solar energy solutions offered by China’s Huawei Technologies Co Ltd.

Alternergy said that it assumed its new role as a reseller last month and noted that the agreement brings opportunities for future cooperation in the solar photovoltaic (PV) sector.

The solar business of the Chinese multinational technology company offers the FusionSolar Smart PV Solution that integrates digital, Internet and PV technologies.

The firm's smart solar solution, introduced in 2014, enables inverters to act as PV array sensors, thus allowing to gather precise information for each PV string, the company explains. Since the launch, Huawei Solar has also added other applications such as wireless private network technologies, intelligent O&M cloud centre and now also has a smart PV solution that integrates AI technologies.
