Israel Atomic Agency Worker Charged With Infiltrating Computer System
The cybersecurity division of the State Prosecutor indicted
Tuesday an employee of the Israel Atomic Energy Commission, accusing her of
dozens of unauthorized entries into computing systems and conducting searches
that violate privacy laws.
The indictment was filed with the Rehovot Magistrate’s
Court, after an investigation by the Director of Security of the Defense
Establishment.
The suspect allegedly entered the Israel Atomic Energy
Commission's computing system between August 2018 and last January between 70
and 100 times, conducting forbidden searches. She is accused of offenses of
infiltrating computer data and privacy violation.
The court accepted the state’s request for a gag order on
case materials and to hold hearings behind closed doors, on grounds of state
security and protection of privacy.
