Federal Court Moves To Unseal Documents In Jeffrey Epstein Scandal

An appeals court panel in Manhattan on Monday gave billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s former girlfriend until March 19 to argue why documents related to his international sex trafficking operation should remain sealed.

The documents were collected when Virginia Giuffre sued British socialite and Epstein’s ex Ghislaine Maxwell in 2015 for publicly denying that she lured her as an underage girl into Epstein’s harem.

The case was settled on the eve of the trial in 2017, sealing 167 documents, including 29 depositions, that would have been aired in a courtroom.

If Maxwell, who has denied the allegations, doesn’t establish good cause by the deadline, the summary judgement and supporting documents will be made public.

Giuffre’s lawyer and a lawyer for the Miami Herald newspaper have argued for the documents to be unsealed after a redaction process.

Former Epstein attorney Alan Dershowitz also wants the documents to be made public because he claims there is evidence in the case that will prove he had nothing to do with Epstein’s sex trafficking — as Giuffre has claimed.

Right-wing social media personality Michael Cernovich is also arguing for the case to be unsealed.
